Use Add Server
Sign in to your dashboard as an administrator and open Add Server. Copy the enrollment-specific command and run it on the NAS using an account with sudo. The one-time script carries the public key and enrollment context; the private key remains encrypted inside NASitron.
The installer prepares the account, SSH configuration, root-owned helper and narrow sudo policy, then registers the NAS by signed callback. Enrollment expires after 30 minutes and is single use. Confirm the registration-complete message in the terminal and the new server in the dashboard.
HTTPS and network access
The NAS must reach your dashboard HTTPS address for enrollment; the dashboard must reach the NAS SSH port for collection. Internal-CA installations provide a download-and-checksum command in Add Server. Use that exact generated command.
Manual enrollment alternative
The generic installer is served by your running dashboard. It does not automatically register a server without enrollment context:
curl -fsSL https://YOUR-NASITRON-HOST/install-remote.sh -o install-remote.sh
# Review the downloaded script before running it.
sudo bash install-remote.shWithout a supplied public key it generates a keypair and prints the private key once. Copy it into Add Server → Private key and enter the detected host, SSH port and host-key fingerprint. Do not share that private key. Keep helper-only sudo permissions; do not grant unrestricted shell or ZFS sudo access.
