WHEN SOMETHING NEEDS ATTENTION
Follow the evidence.
Start with the collection state, the native result and the exact operation history.
My NAS is enrolled but no telemetry appears.
Check dashboard-to-NAS SSH reachability, configured username and pinned host fingerprint. Inspect the installer output, Poll server result and collection error. Confirm the dedicated account can run the root helper through its narrow sudo rule.
The browser does not trust the certificate.
Bootstrap TLS uses Caddy’s internal CA. Trust the CA on your clients or configure ACME/uploaded certificates in Settings → HTTPS. Use the exact internal-CA enrollment command from Add Server.
An action was accepted, but the work is not finished.
Accepted records successful command submission. Scrubs, SMART tests and resilvers can continue afterward. Follow Operations and the NAS’s native status. Inspect unknown outcomes before retrying.
Storage actions report an old helper.
Use Servers → Upgrade Server for the existing NAS, execute its checksum-verified command, then poll and refresh inventory. Check the host’s detected capabilities.
I need to report a problem.
Include the application version, OpenZFS version, collection error and relevant sanitized logs. Review diagnostic bundles before sharing them: they omit credentials but can contain host identities, topology and storage details.
